Simple way to hide a file!

WARNING - Before I start, I must tell you that you should not do this on your main hard drive, as the folder cannot be renamed or deleted. Use a empty flash drive instead, which can be formatted later.

  1. Create a new folder.
  2. Rename the folder like this - hold the Alt key and then press 255 on the NUM pad.
  3. You will see that now there will be an empty spot where the folder name is supposed to be.
  4. Now to truly make this folder hidden, right-click on the folder - go to Properties.
  5. Click on Customize -> Change icon.
  6. Choose one of the blank icons.
