A few weeks ago, the OpenOffice project was forked. This new group of people known as The Document Foundation created a fork called LibreOffice. I have put my full support behind TDF, I have subscribed to their mailing lists, and are on their Canada marketing team.

I have removed OpenOffice from my system and have installed LibreOffice via the DEB packages. There is no official repository yet. Also, there are no significant changes from OpenOffice for now.

I will be posting regular updates on this awesome project.
