Adventures of a study-free weekend
This Friday, I decided to clean the inside of my older desktop computer. My sister was complaining that it was making weird noises and it was annoying etc. So, I took out the can of compressed air and a screwdriver. I open up one side of the case, and the amount of dust was unbelievable. I was like “HOLY SHIT!” and started to blow away all the dust using the compressed air. After I...

Random MSN glitch!
This was a random glitch that I found today, when I opened up Windows Live Messenger. As you can see one of the emoticons in my friend’s personal message was magnified. This is the weirdest glitch I’ve ever seen. P.S - The friend’s display name is in Tamil, if you were curious.         Posted via email from staticsafe’s posterous | Comment »

PS3 has been hacked!
Yes, it is true! The famous iPhone hacker George Hotz aka geohot has managed to get inside the silicon guts of a PS3. According to his blog: I have read/write access to the entire system memory, and HV level access to the processor. In other words, I have hacked the PS3. The rest is just software. And reversing. I have a lot of reversing ahead of me, as I now have dumps of LV0 and LV1....

What this compromise means is: I like Posterous’ way of posting via e-mail. But, since I love Tumblr’s simplicity and its awesome platform…… I decided to use the Posterous “post via...

Grade 11 Physics - All presentations.
This might be a little late, but with exams coming up this might be prove to be very useful for review purposes. In my case some of my notes are missing because the teacher moves through slides faster than I can write. All the presentations shown in a Grade 11 SPH3U (physics) class can be found here: http://schools.tdsb.on.ca/rhking/departments/physics11.htm It includes the presentations in...

New videos coming up soon!
I would like to mention, that I haven’t added new MW2 vids in a while. This is because I’ve very busy with schoolwork. With first semester exams coming, it is unlikely that I will be uploading new vids for the duration of this month. That said, I already have one video ready to upload. I will upload it as soon as I can, but don’t expect much more videos or even much more posts...

iPhone 4.0 Hope: Background Tools via launchd
balanon: quatermain: A lot of people want to run apps in the background on the iPhone, but I believe that Apple has some very legitimate concerns about the feasibility of doing so, at least on the current hardware platforms. However, I believe that there is a perfectly valid way of accommodating most developers’ background-execution needs. This system is called ‘launchd’, and I believe it...
